- You’re able to pay for your return or onward journey (or have funding from someone else to pay for the journey)

2. Study Visa
You can apply for a Student visa to study in the UK if you’re 16 or over and you:
- Have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor.
- Have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course – the amount will vary depending on your circumstances
- Can speak, read, write and understand English
- Have consent from your parents if you’re 16 or 17 – you’ll need evidence of this when you apply Your education provider will send you a reference number (called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)) once they’ve offered you a place on the course. You need a CAS before you can apply for your visa.

3. Work Visa
Health and Care Worker visa
A Health and Care Worker visa allows medical professionals to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with the NHS, an NHS supplier or in adult social care.
Eligibility
To qualify for a Health and Care Worker visa, you must:
- Be a qualified doctor, nurse, health professional or adult social care professional.
- Work in an eligible health or social care job.
- Work for a UK employer that’s been approved by the Home Office.
- Have a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer with information about the role you’ve been offered in the UK.
- Be paid a minimum salary – how much depends on the type of work you do
Approved UK health and care sector employers
You must have a job offer from an approved UK employer before you apply for a Health and Care Worker visa. Approved employers are also known as sponsors, because they are sponsoring you to come to or stay in the UK.
You must have a job offer from:
- The NHS.
- An organization providing medical services to the NHS.
- An organization providing adult social care.
Skilled Worker visa
A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer. This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.
Eligibility
To qualify for a Skilled Worker visa, you must:
- Work for a UK employer that’s been approved by the Home Office.
- Have a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer with information about the role you’ve been offered in the UK.
- Do a job that’s on the list of eligible occupations.
